Data minimisation is part of the technical design. Text, photographs, fonts and scripts are served locally. The pages do not load an advertising network, analytics platform or embedded media player.
1. Controller
This project build uses the operator details publicly associated with the intended domain. Legal form, representation, address and contact must be confirmed by the actual operator before publication:

2. Purpose and explicit non-sale notice
We do not sell products or services. It publishes freely accessible technical articles and neutral comparisons.
There are no affiliate links, commission accounting, paid redirects or product forms.
3. Server logs
When a page is requested, the hosting server may process information needed to deliver it securely: IP address, time, requested file, transferred volume, HTTP status, browser, operating system and referrer where supplied. The purpose is stable delivery, fault diagnosis and protection against misuse. For an EU-facing operation the intended legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. This build assumes deletion or anonymisation within 14 days unless a specific security event or legal duty requires longer retention; the live server configuration must be checked against that statement.
4. Hosting and recipients
A hosting provider may receive technically necessary access data when acting for the controller. A processor agreement under Article 28 GDPR is required where applicable. The site itself sends no automatic request to an external font, image, video or analytics service.
5. No analytics, advertising or profiling
There is no audience measurement, remarketing, personalised advertising, cross-device identifier or tracking pixel. Visitor data is not combined into advertising profiles, and there is no automated decision-making within Article 22 GDPR.
6. Cookies and storage
No analytics, advertising or profiling cookies are used. The necessary pk_consent cookie records whether optional preferences were allowed or rejected. If you consent, pk_language can retain the chosen language for up to 180 days. If you reject it, the DE/EN links still work but the selection is not remembered across visits. Local Storage, Session Storage and IndexedDB are not used. The Cookie Policy contains the full table and a control for changing the choice.
7. Local fonts and photographs
Manrope and all visible photographs are hosted with the site. Loading a page therefore does not connect automatically to Google Fonts, Unsplash or another media provider. Authors, source pages and licensing information are listed in the Media Notes; those text links connect externally only after a deliberate click.
8. External source links
Some articles contain ordinary links to official manufacturer or support pages. No connection is made until you choose a link. The destination then receives access information required for its own delivery and is responsible for its processing.
9. Email
If you send an email, the address, message and voluntary details are used to review and answer it. The intended basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Messages should be deleted when the matter is complete and no retention duty remains; general editorial correspondence should be reviewed after six months. Because the published correspondence address is in Hong Kong, processing outside the EU or EEA cannot be excluded. The operator must document the actual mail infrastructure and any basis under Articles 44 onward GDPR before launch.
10. Rights
Subject to legal conditions, individuals may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and may object under Articles 15–21 GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn for the future without affecting earlier lawful processing. A complaint may be made to a competent supervisory authority under Article 77 GDPR.
11. Security and changes
Public delivery is intended to use HTTPS and proportionate technical safeguards. This notice must be updated before adding analytics, advertising, forms, platform apps or other processing. It must also be reconciled with the selected host and retention settings.
